Description
Mobi Impact sockets are made of Chrome-Molybdenum Steel
(Cr-Mo) which is a high-strength alloy known for toughness and
durability under high torque applications.
These sockets are often coated in black oxide to resist corrosion
and prevent chipping compared to standard chrome-plated
sockets.
Mobi Impact sockets are designed with thicker walls and softer
but tougher steel (Cr-Mo) compared to chrome-vanadium (Cr-V)
hand sockets.
This allows them to absorb sudden torque loads without cracking.
Six-point (hex) design is most common, providing a better grip on
fasteners and reducing rounding.
The range features long and standard versions for different
clearance requirements.
Retaining ring or pin holes for impact wrench compatibility.
Sizes are laser-etched for readability.
3/4” drive impact socket information:
For 3/4-inch drive Chrome Molybdenum (Cr-Mo) impact sockets, the torque capacity is significantly higher than that of 1/2-inch drive sockets, making them suitable for heavy-duty industrial, truck, and heavy equipment applications.
These values represent general ranges. Actual ratings vary by socket size, wall thickness, and manufacturer specs.
Approximate working torque ranges:
- Minimum working torque: ~600 ft-lb (800 Nm)
- Typical operating torque: 800–1,500 ft-lb (1,100–2,000 Nm)
- Maximum intermittent torque: up to 2,500 ft-lb (3,400 Nm) or more
