Characterized by its half-round (or semi-circular) cutting profile and typically made with durable materials like Tungsten Carbide Tips (TCT) for superior sharpness and longevity, this bit is designed to plunge into the material to form a round-bottom groove.

Its primary application is to produce a round bottom groove or channel, ideal for decorative work like fluting on columns, creating reeding patterns, veining, or general ornamentation on furniture and panels. By using an edge guide, it can also be used to cut coves. Available in various diameters and corresponding radius measurements, selecting the correct shank size for your router’s collet is crucial for both safety and optimal performance.

Application:

• Router bits are for use with router machines only.
• Be sure that at least 3/4 of the shaft length is inserted into the router collet.
• Do not “bottom-out” the bit in the collet. The shank should be 1/8″ from the bottom of the collet.
